easyJet Baggage Allowance 2026: Cabin, Hold and Fees Explained

easyJet gives every passenger one free small cabin bag that must fit under the seat in front of you. Anything larger, and any hold luggage, is paid for. Here is exactly what you get and what the extras cost.

Free Under Seat Bag

Every passenger can bring one small cabin bag up to 45x36x20cm, including any wheels and handles, weighing up to 15kg. It must fit under the seat in front of you. This is enough for a weekend if you pack carefully, and there is no need to add it or pay for it.

Larger Cabin Bag

Compare Airport Parking Prices

Stop overpaying for airport parking. Compare prices across all UK airports and save up to 60% when you book in advance.

A larger cabin bag of up to 56x45x25cm, also up to 15kg, is only included if you have booked an Up front or Extra legroom seat, hold an easyJet Plus card, or have added a large cabin bag to your booking. This bag goes in the overhead locker. If you have not paid for it, you cannot bring it into the cabin.

Hold Luggage

A single hold bag can weigh up to 32kg, and the total dimensions must not exceed 275cm when you add length, width and height together. Adding hold luggage online is always cheaper than at the airport.

How to Avoid Fees

The most common easyJet gate fee comes from bringing a bag that is too big for the free under seat allowance without having paid for the larger cabin bag. Measure your bag at home with wheels and handles included. If it is over 45x36x20cm, either pay for the large cabin bag in advance or check it in. Adding anything at the airport costs considerably more than online.
