Wizz Air Baggage Allowance 2026: Cabin, Priority and Hold Fees

Wizz Air follows the budget airline model closely. Every passenger gets one free under seat bag, and a larger cabin bag needs WIZZ Priority. Checked bags come in a range of weights, and the rules are strictly enforced.

Free Under Seat Bag

Every passenger can bring one small bag up to 40x30x20cm that must fit under the seat in front of you. This is the only bag included in the basic fare.

WIZZ Priority and the Larger Cabin Bag

To bring a larger cabin bag of up to 55x40x23cm weighing up to 10kg into the cabin, you need WIZZ Priority. This bag goes in the overhead locker and is added either separately or as part of a fare bundle. Without Priority, a bag this size must be checked in.

Checked Bags

The maximum size for a checked bag is 149x119x171cm when you add the dimensions together. Excess baggage over your paid weight is charged at around 13 euros per kilo, so it is far cheaper to buy the right allowance in advance.

How to Avoid Fees

As with the other budget carriers, bringing a cabin case to the gate without Priority is the expensive trap. Measure your bag at home with wheels and handles included, and add the allowance you need at the time of booking rather than at the airport.
