When Does Jet2 Release Flights? Summer Season Launch Dates Explained
Jet2 tends to launch each summer season in a single very early announcement, often more than eighteen months ahead. Here is how the Jet2 release works and how to book the launch fares.

Jet2 works differently from most of its rivals. Rather than trickling flights out, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays tend to launch a whole summer season in one big announcement, and they do it exceptionally early. In recent years Jet2 has been the first airline and tour operator to put a summer season on sale.
The Summer 2027 Launch
A clear example of the pattern: Jet2.com and Jet2holidays put their Summer 2027 programme on sale on 15 October 2025, which the company described as its earliest ever summer launch. That release covered more than 470 routes and over 19 million seats across around 59 sun, leisure and city destinations, flying from all thirteen of Jet2's UK bases.
Those bases are Belfast International, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool John Lennon, London Luton, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle. If you fly from any of them, a new summer typically becomes bookable well over a year and a half in advance.
How Jet2 Booking Works
Stop overpaying for airport parking. Compare prices across all UK airports and save up to 60% when you book in advance.
Because Jet2 sells both flight only seats and Jet2holidays packages, you have a choice at booking. Package holidays can usually be secured with a low deposit, with the balance spread over interest free monthly payments before departure, which is part of why booking early is popular with Jet2 customers. Seat only fares follow the same early on sale dates.
As with the other leisure airlines, the cheapest seats and the best free child places tend to go quickly after launch, so if you have fixed dates or a specific resort in mind, being ready for the on sale date is worthwhile. Jet2 announces new seasons through its own website and email alerts, so signing up is the simplest way to hear first.
Before You Fly
Jet2 has one of the more generous cabin allowances among the leisure airlines, giving every passenger a 10kg cabin bag as standard. The full detail, including hold luggage on flight only bookings, is in our Jet2 baggage allowance guide. You can also read our Jet2 airline guide for terminal information, and track flights on the day with our live boards such as Leeds Bradford departures and Newcastle departures.
